Got an 10 years old MacBook Pro from a friend with SK keyboard, change it to US. Was not that easy, but doable and it works.
First of all to get an US qwerty keyboard means to get the whole aluminium cover. There are some to be found, but mostly in US eBay. Which would be ok, but the "keyboard" has often also batteries attached to it so my first order was rejected somewhere in the US export customs service. Luckily enough my Australian friend was travelling at the right time from US to Europe and he brought me the keyboard. Following the ifixit guide I was then (after about 3 hours of work) able to have US layout keyboard. Here some photos of that switch:
And thank to OpenCore Legacy Patcher this 10+ years old hardware can run newest MacOS und did not had to end up in the electronic trash.
